The Queen of Versailles

"The Queen of Versailles" is a riches to rags (well... super duper riches to mere super riches?) story of David Siegel, who made his money (hundreds of millions, I think) off of the biggest timeshare company in the world, and his family. Versailles is their attempt to make the biggest house in America. Due to decreased liquidity in the market after the financial crash, he started having financial troubles (still leaving him easily in the 1%).

There were lots of interesting tidbits in the movie. For instance, in talking about politics, Siegel says that he is singlehandedly responsible for George Bush winning in 2000. When asked how, he says, "well, I'm not entirely sure that it was all legal." Siegel talks about dumping his wife for a younger one. Siegel yells at most people in his family at one time or another throughout the movie.

Overall, the movie was an interesting look at a bizarre situation.
