"Skyfall" is the 23rd Bond film. Wow.
It was a little light on the gadgets -- no invisible cars or exploding pens. Then again, that was also a part of the plot.
There were a lot of funny computer references in the movie, and they are among the most hilariously inaccurate that I have seen in any movie. Computer hacking is prominent for both M16 and for the villains. "Strip the headers to trace the decryption!" makes no sense. Neither does getting hacked based on an ethernet connection. Neither does proceeding to use the hacker's map with your own custom data visualizations.
There were also a lot of "Why didn't Bond do that?" or "Why didn't he do that earlier?" moments.
That said, the action was good, the parts that were bad were funny, and the movie was a nice watch overall.
